Course Description
Pornography and Sex Addiction are becoming increasingly accepted addiction struggles in the lay community. As such, therapists are seeing increases in clients coming to treatment for these issues. As sexuality is a complicated and personal topic, it is imperative that therapists treating these individuals have a solid understanding of Problematic Sexual Behavior in order to guide the clients down a helpful path.
This course will help therapists understand the concepts of sexual addiction, out of control sexual behavior, moral incongruence, erotic conflict and perceived pornography addiction. It will also provide some basic treatment guidelines for each potential underlying cause of the problematic sexual behavior.
This is an accredited course designed for Licensed Professional Counselors to earn Continuing Education Hours, or LPC CEHs
