Michael Williams was born and raised in West Philadelphia.
He graduated from West Philadelphia High School and later enrolled at Cairn University where he received his Bachelor of Science in Bible in 1994 and his Master’s of Science in Counseling in 2000. He is also currently working towards a Masters degree in Clinical and Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Trauma Studies at Chestnut Hill College.
Michael has ample experience working with males with problematic sexual behaviors. Michael specializes in and has strong interests in working with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma.
He has diverse experiences in the field of mental health including extensive work in substance abuse, both as a caseworker and a therapist in outpatient and residential settings. Michael has also provided individual, family, and group therapy to adolescent males with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders.
Michael is an ordained minister and serves as an Associate Pastor in Lansdowne, PA. In addition, he serves as an Adjunct Instructor at Eastern University in St. Davids, PA. Michael currently lives in the greater Philadelphia area with his wife Carla. They have been married since 1994 and are blessed with three sons Anthony, David, and Stephen.
