Course Description
This course delves into the most recent research on female sexual offending. Included in this course is the psychological characteristics of women who sexually offend, offending types, and how personally histories influence sexually offending. Additionally, the course will address assessment of female sexual offending and recidivism studies. Finally, the course will discuss treatment of women who sexually offend as well as how this treatment differs from that of men who sexually offend.
This is an accredited course designed for Licensed Professional Counselors to earn Continuing Education Hours, or LPC CEHs
Learning Objectives
- Participants will learn the difference between female solo offending and co-offending
- Participants will understand recidivism data on female sexual offending
- Participants will learn about assessment tools for female sexual offending
- Participants will learn treatment targets for female sexual offending and how they are different from men who sexually offend
