Credit Hours: | 1.5 |
Presenter: | Dr. Jennifer Weeks |
Course Description
CSAM on the Dark Web is based on “Investigating child sexual abuse material availability, searches, and users on the anonymous Tor network for a public health intervention strategy,” published in 2024 in Nature.
The article looks at the ever-present issue of Child Sexual Abuse Materials.
In addition to looking at characteristics of those individuals who are seeking and consuming CSAM, it looks at computer science aspects.
The article also provides suggested areas of prevention and intervention. Its findings suggest many individuals who are viewing CSAM want to stop but don’t know how to get help.
This is an accredited course designed for Licensed Professional Counselors to earn Continuing Education Hours, or LPC CEHs
Learning Objectives
Participants will:
- Learn how prevalent CSAM material is on the TOR network and how individuals are accessing the material
