Course Description
This course involves a study created to assess the association between masturbation frequency and reported sexual dysfunction in both men and women.
It also looks at masturbation frequency in relation to having a sexual partner and sexual compatibility with ones sexual partner.
The results of this study can be applied to sexual therapy with individuals or couples as well as provide information regarding masturbation that could be applied to problematic sexual behavior, moral incongruence or erotic conflict in therapy.
This is an accredited course designed for Licensed Professional Counselors to earn Continuing Education Hours, or LPC CEHs
Learning Objectives
Participants will:
- Come to understand current research theories on the role of masturbation personally and in relationships.
- Learn about current research theories on the effect of masturbation on sexual function.
- Come to understand the gender differences in masturbation’s relationship to sexual function in this study.
